Homecoming Homecoming 1986 festivities were held the week of October 13-18 in beautiful weather. Ac- tivities during the week included entertainer Mi- chael John performing in Ames Hall, a caricature artist named Goot, an unusual Brown Bag featur- ing LaRouche candidates Mark Fairchild and Ja- nice Hart. On Thursday and Friday, the Riverside Theater performed the play Clarence Dorrow in Eisenmeyer Auditorium. The week concluded with Homecoming Day on Saturday. That morning the parade was held, led by Parade Marshal Phil Rodri- guez. That afternoon, the Bearcat soccer team defeated Rockhurst 2-1. H Cheerleaders Sherrie Mor- ™ gan, Jacki Bugg, and Carol I Friedland enjoy their ride along the parade route. The Homecoming court and their es- corts were introduced during halt- time ot the soccer game. The Ainad Temple Shriners entertoin the crowd as they do every year. The week of Homecom- ing ended Saturday even- ing with they traditional dance. 1985 ' s retiring Queen, Sonnie Botwinski, crowned Jill Kelling as the Queen of 1986. The theme for the dance was That Was Then . . . This Is Now, and was held at the Collinsville Hilton Hotel.
