Parade and Game The 1983 Homecoming was held October 22, 1983. The day began with the annual Homecoming Parade with Alpha Omega receiving the award for best parade entry. Next came the soccer game against SEMO. The Bearcats were defeated 3-0. The last event and climax of the day was the Homecoming Cornation and Dance. Homecoming Queen ' s Coronation The Homecoming Queen ' s Coronation Dinner and Dance was held at Buckley ' s Restaurant again this year. Dinner was served, then followed the coronation. A dance ended the evening with music by Griffin. The Homecoming Attendants were elected a few weeks before that weekend. There was a tie for the freshmen: Debbie Nitz and Heidi Wessel. Connie Maxfield was chosen to represent the sophomore class and Bonnie Droste was nominated by the junior class. The three senior Queen candi- dates selected were Diane Davis of Cahokia, Vicki Seiberlich of Highland, and Jo-Ann Summers of Smithton.
