PLATO LEFT TO RIGHT: Wayne Gartside, Don Brewer, Tom Gensler, Dick Sch- woerke, Leon Fitzgerald, Virgil Wadsack, Max Dom- browski, Eddie Archer, Dr. Cyclone Covey. LEFT TO RIGHT: Joe Voegeli. Dave Heck, Bill Hunter, Dwight Schuetz, Dave Diehl. HI. w. i n September, 1955, and we were off to a flying start. After a flurry of freshman entertainment, Platon- ians set sails for another year on McKendree campus. During the year our members were active in a great many campus organizations, acting as leaders as well as members. Homecoming was soon upon us and we found ourselves faced with the job of making a float. After many headaches and long hard work, we were ready. FinaUy the big day came and we were proud and happy as we paraded with the rest. Plato was represented on campus by Tom Gensler, President of Pi Kappa Delta; Wayne Gartside, Vice-President of Veterans ' Club; Virgil Wadsack Who ' s Who and Treasurer of the Veterans ' Club; and Jim Birmingham, Vice-President of FT A.

PHILO LEFT TO RIGHT: BiUy Jones, Penny Bagby, Bob Souders, Don Metzger, John Kanimer- mann. LEFT TO RIGHT: Enloe Krausz, Dale Best, Ron Stoltz, Don Wood, Paul Motzer, Kliley Palmer, Jim Birmingham. Working together in a common bond has formed us into a strong, active chapter. We are proud of the achievement of Philo and hope that future years will be as bountiful as the preceeding have been. Philo leaders were found in every phase of campus life. Walter Storey was Vice-President of Kappa Chi; Don Wood was elected to Who ' s Who ; and Don Metzger, Associate Editor of the McK Review. We were fortunate in having two capable presidents at the helm of our society during the school year. Don Wood was president during the first semester and Ron Stoltz took command for the second semester. With men like these to lead us and men such as our members are to participate, it is understandable that we have enjoyed a successful year.
