Joycelyn Duncan, Marilyn Rosalind Lindsay, Margaret Sharing together the work and fun of college life, AO ' s build a close bond of friendship which endures through the years. The 1955- ' 56 school year was a very busy one for the women of Alpha Omega. Rush week. Home- coming, pledging and initiation made the time between classes pass very quickly. Representing AO on campus this year were Sandra Schupbach. President of Student-Faculty Council for two semesters; Kay Clark and Carol Fritz, Co-Editors of the 1956 McKendrean; Louise Simmons, Junior class candidate for Homecoming Queen; Marylou Jenkins, May Fete Queen; Judie Gutekunst, Editor of the Circuit Writer; Mary Lois Sauer, Secretary-Treasurer of FT A; Kay Clark, First Prize for Essay in Circuit Rider Contest; and Sandra Schupbach was chosen for Who ' s Who. The spring banquet, the May Fete and all the graduation traditions highlighted the latter part of the year.
CLIO September again- -the campus was asceneof lively activity, beginning with Rush. With classes under- way, Clio was kept busy by Homecoming, the Amanda Glenn Oratorical contest, open house, and many social activities. Repr esenting us on campus were Bette Wadsack and Alice McPherson elected to Who ' s VVho ; Donna Faye Roper, Vice-President of MSM and President of FT A: Barbara Bradshaw, 1955- ' 56 Home- coming Queen and Treasurer of MSM; Lois Johnson, Secretary-Treasurer of Kappa Chi. Other positions held were Frances Mitchell, Vice-President of McK Club; Phyllis Teal, Secretary- Treasurer of McK Club; Carol Goings, Editor of McK Review; Kaywynne (Weiler) Adams, First Prize in Amanda Glenn Contest and First in the Circuit Writer Contest; Sandra Beasely, Freshman Homecoming Queen candidate and Alice McPherson, Senior class candidate. The latter part of the year found us working on the May Fete and the spring banquet. May came quickly--the end of another successful year.
