Velton Read Maruice Johns , Hadley Akins , Ray Blaylock The Quarterback Clubs main objective is to help in school athletics, both in grade school and high school, and in school activities. The Club is composed of town men who wish to par- ticipate in helping the schools whenever and wherever possible. Some of their activities have included improving the school as in evidence by McEwens front walk, the curb around the school building, and our athletic field. Last spring the Club fixed a backstop on the telephone poles behind the catchers box for the baseball season. Last fall they bought tickets for the football players to the Pendleton-Washington football game. During the past few summers, the Club has organized a Recreational program consisting of Little League Baseball in the morning and swimming in the afternoon. They also helped in selling season swimming tickets in order that the pool could support itself. This year the Club helped the F.F.A. pay for their new barn. Although they are not doing as much as they would like to this year, they have been a considerable help. We owe a lot to this Club and we hope that they will continue in their fine work.
