One of McDowell's most respected organi- zations is the Student Council. Consisting of representatives from each homeroom and from the classes at large, it is headed by John Keeler as Presidentg Dave McChesney, Sue Cross, and Mike Wander assisting with the other offices. The Thanksgiving Ball, held the end of November, was the first major project of the Student Council this year. Other projects were the annual Variety Show in February and the publishing of the McDowell Handbook with school regulations, schedules, etc. Sponsored by Mr. Barr, the Student Council again proved itself a valuable asset toMcDowell student life.
