Reviewing the Past 1949-1950 On September 0, 1949, we entered the annex, which was something new to us. After much hustling about, we got down to business. The first activity we par- ticipated in was a Thanksgiving Play. Some of our other activities were: A Lincoln Day Program, sponsored skating parties with the eighth grade, a variety show at the P, T. A, bazaar, and also with the eighth grade, we purchased clocks for the annex. 1950-1951 With much vim and vigor we sponsored a Halloween Dance and a skating party with the seventh grade. We also presented the Operetta Christmas Bazaar' to the entire school. 1951-1952 Our Freshman Class made ,the Big Step - from the annex to the High School. We elected Joe Arndt as President, Mike Wander as Vice-President, and Car- olyn Morgan to guide us through our Freshman year. We had the distinction of being known as the largest class in the school's history. We boasted 223 students. Activities were impaired because of crowded conditions. However, we sponsored a skating party and Dungaree Drag. 1952-1953 For our Sophomore Class officers we chose as President, Jim Logie, Vice-President, Bill Trohoske, Secretary and Treasurer, Dick Cross. Our biggest project was our attempt to standardize our class rings. The tenth grade assembly committee also sponsored a Variety Show. 1953-1954 Our Junior year was a big year. After electing Mike Wander for Presi- dent, John Keeler for Vice-President, Bobbie Jean Whitmire for Secretary and Chuck Tice for Treasurer, we ordered our class rings which were standardized with a Trojan head on the setting. Our play The Little Dog Laughed' was a great success. We had the privilege of being the first class to sponsor the prom, Misty Dream, in our Recreation Center. The Juniors also were ushers and usherettes for the Com- mencement and Baccalaureate Service. 1954-1955 Our Senior year arrived despite many trials and tribulations. We elected for our officers: President, Bob Kintzg Vice-President, Ed Brodeg Secretary, Rosalyn D'Amicog and Treasurer, Joe Arndt. All our social functions were a great success. Among them were the Annual St. Pat's Dance, Minstrel Show which had as its theme an old time show boat. We are proud to be the 50th class to graduate from a Mill- creek Township High School. Also we have the privilege of being the first class to complete a full year at the new McDowell High School. 13 1 7- 15 If 1 17 x 1 ' r Q'
