End Center Tackle, Guard Millcreek opened its 1053 season by bowing to the City Champions, East, 55-31, Fiddler and Mitchell each scored twice in Millcreek's first of two appearances in the Stadium. Bischoff scored once and Mike Wander caught the extra point. Millcreek, after leading 7-6 at the half, had to come from behind to tie a surprisingly tough Titusville team 13-13. Co-captain Hal Fiddler scored a touchdown and an extra point while Tom Mitchell also scored once. Corry, favored by 20 points, was given a real' scare by the Trojans as two passes were dropped in the end zone. A Rogerson to O'Connell pass accounted for a touchdown and Mitchell snagged the extra point to make the final score 14-7, Corry, The Trojans rolled over North East, 20-7, as they chalked up vic- tory number one. North East put up a strong defense in the first half but the Trojan attack proved too powerful. Jack Delavern blocked a punt and raced 2U yards for a touchdown. Mitchell and Rogerson also scored as Dick Bischoff converted twice. Millcreek, scoring late but fast, downed the Girard Yellow Jackets 25-7. The biggest upset of the year was the Trojan victory over Greenville. Tom Mit- chell scored two touchdowns as he added to his personal total which was the highest of the Trojans. Dick Bischoff scored also on a spectacular 81-yard run. Millcreek's blocking and ballhandling was superb. Millcreek clashed with a determined If R underdog Oil City team and the final result was 27-12 in favor of Oil City. On receiv- ing the first kickoff, Millcreek immediately scored on a handoff to Bischoff. Rogerson also scored, however, the Trojans couldn't stop the Oil City running attack. The Trojans got back into their winning ways by crushing Harborcreek 38-7. Al- though Coach Goll emptied the bench and even used the Jayvees, Millcreek was able to stop the Huskies handily. Bischoff scored twice and kicked an extra point. Mitchell, Wander, Fiddler and Co-captain Ken Weed H, Ghering, p, 5011, D, I-,Ong scored as Fiddler also kicked an extra point, The season came to a successful con- clusion when Millcreek trounced Strong Mi11Cr6'6k 31 EHS! 55 Vincent at the Stadium. This was the first 13 TiluSVil16 13 Trojan victory over a city team in 25 7 COFIY 14 years.
