Future Farmers of America The Future Farmers of America, or F.F.A., as it is commonly known, is the national organization of, by, and for boys studying vocational agriculture in public secondary schools under the provisions of the National Vocational Education Act. This year thirty-four Millcreek High F.F.A. boys, under the leadership of Mr. Payne, attended the State Convention at Harrisburg. A Greyhound bus was chartered for this event. While at the Convention in Harrisburg the boys also attended a farm show. Here in the community the boys pruned trees and shrubs. They also planted two acres of tomatoes as a means of raising money and gaining experience. There were also en- tries from Millcreek in the State Judging contest held at Penn State College this June. These boys are very active socially. During the year they have sponsored a Square Dance, Hay Ride, and a Parent and Son Banquet. The officers for the F.F.A. for 1952-53 were: President, Wilber Rastatter, Vice- President, Roy Waldermarsong Secretary, Tom Curtissg Treasurer, Louis Haas: Chaplain, George McKinley: Watch Dogs, Bob DeHaven and Stuart Heimburgg Reporter, Ray Payne. 1943
