This year the Spanish II class under the guidance of Miss Sherrange organized the Spanish Club with Alberto Roberto as President, Judy Eppley as Vice-President, and Secretary-Treasurer, Shirley Malutich. Capitalizing upon their tremendous talents, they produced a combination Spanish Fiesta and Play entitled Sunday Costs Five Pesos which was so very successful and met with such universal approval that they pre- sented outside performances at Harborcreek High School, Fairview Presbyterian Church, and the Veterans Hospital. The aim of the Latin Club is to acquaint the Latin students with the customs of an- cient Rome. The Latin Club celebrated the annual Feast of Saturnaliaf' the Roman Christmas Banquet, in December, and sponsored the HT91'DSlCl'lOl'63.ll Whirl after a basketball game. In order to become a member of this organization one must be a second year Latin student. The advisor this year was Miss Laura Sherrange who did a very commendable job. Rogerson. LIBRARY CLUB Organized by Miss Powell to promote interest in the library, and to give more, and better service to the student body, the Library Club forged ahead this year. Improve- ments were made in the functioning of the library. The library bulletin board was es- pecially attractive. To meet the demands made by increased enrollment in the school, Mrs. Samuelson was added to the library staff. President, Ronald Booser: Vice President, Harriet Merchant: Secretary, Helen Scholl: Treasurer, Janice Arnamen. COMMERCIAL CLUB The Commercial Club deserves the gratitude of the entire student body for their nu- merous undertakings, ranging from mimeographing tests for teachers to preparing programs for school activities. Miss Zuck sponsored the group Whose officers Were: Jean Prindle, President: Sandra Ambro, Vice President: Carol Christensen, Secretary: and Evelyn Volkman, Treasurer. The Club attempts to prepare the girls for the mod- ern business world by instructing them in the finer points of business procedures, re- sulting in reliability and efficiency.
