NOHTH PLATTE TO-lVlcCOOK 49 The North Platte tilt found the Bison in a scoring slump. The Red and White crew was exceptionally cold while the Platters couldnit miss. Schiessler toted away Bison scoring honors. MCCOOK 6-1-LEXINGTON 53 Another Southwest conference scalp was added to the Bisonis belt when they dropped the Lexington quint on the lVlinutemen's home court. Ken France had a brilliant evening by pushing 18 markers through the mesh to lead the Bison in their winning game. MCCOOK 60-UOTflENBl'liG 48 A highly regarded band of Gothenburg Swedes had their victory skein severed by the red-hot Bison. O'lJonnell and Daume coupled their fine scoring with some outstanding floor play by their mates to gain another Southwest loop win. MCCOOK 58-Ct'RTlS 27 The torrid Bison downed the cold lfarmers in a South- west loop scrap. Daume led the way for the Red and White crew by garnering 17 points. lVlcCOOK 47-BOYS TOWN 36 The Bison upset a highly rated Cowboy club. O'lJon- nell and Dauine paced the Bison cause as the Red and White quint led from the start. HASTINGS 46-MCCOOK The Tigers forged ahead in the final minute to capture the victory in what would have been a brilliant upset for the Francemen. Daume and Lieberth copped scor- ing laurels. Team play was at a maximum but the Tigers couldn't be stopped, MCCOOK 63-ALLIANCE 47 The Bison gained another West Big Ten win by de. cisively conquering the Bulldogs on their home court. A strong final quarter cinched the victory for the Francemen. ' MCCOOK STHNORFOLK 4-8 The invading Norfolk Panthers found the Bison a hard quint to corral. The Red and White lads were never headed as they copped an interdivision Big Ten tilt. Schiessler and France topped the scoring for the Bison. MCCOOK 54-FREMONT 42 Brilliant team play by the Bison caused one of the upsets of the Cornhusker prep season. Behind from the start, the Francemen wouldn't give up and garnered 21 points the final stanza to capture a decisive inter- division Big Ten tilt from the highly rated Fremonters. LINCOLN 58-MCCOOK 53 The Bison closed their regular season on their home court by dropping a thriller to the state's top team before a packed house. The Bison fought back from an eight point deficiency in the third period to come within two points of the Capital city crew late in the final canto. Schiessler and France led the Bison scor- ing parade with Belknap close behind. The Bison enjoyed a successful year under the mentor- ship of Les France. The Bed and White crew won 10 contests and lost 6 tilts in regular season play.

Larry O'Donnell, Eldon Xlapes. Les Russell. Lamoine Carmichael, Terry Schiessler, ,lay Schnoor, Cordon Holst, Skip Miller, Coach France. Short on experience but long on enthusiasm! That was the story as Coach Les France took up the reins to guide the Bison through the 1952 cinder campaign. Only two veterans were in the fold for the Francemen. Skip Miller, consistent point getter in the weights, and Gordon Holst, rapidly improving half miler. were the monogram winners returning to another season of campaigning on the oval. Several promising speedsters came up from the fine junior high squad of last year, Prospects were good with about 40 aspirants turning out for the thinclad corps.
