The Bison fought desperately' to win the Color Day clash and owned a T-6 halftime lead and a 13-13 deadlock in the final period before bowing out. Don Lieberth and Gary Mein- inger provided the offensive fireworks for the locals. Lieberth scored the final Bison counter and Meininger lead the ground attack. A fruitless eastern Nebraska trip was next for the local.. They' tried hard but couldnt throw' the Boys Town Cowboys who walked off with 1 34-6 triumph over the Ronhovdemen. The Kearney' Bearcats felt the fury' of the Bis in he rd when they' were entertained bv the Red and White at Weiland Field. The Bearcats went home with a 25-6 defeat hangin, from their drooping tails. The win broke the Bison's four game win drouth and evened their season s slate.
