Holiday revelry in lVlllS social circles reached its pre-vacation climax Saturday evening, December 15, in the Junior High gymnasium. The festive occasion was the annual CHRISTMAS PROM. sponsored hy the Stu- dent Council. A near capacity crowd was on hand to see that the Yuletide season got an appropriate curtain raising and dancers made merry all evening to the strains of the Collegians. Decorations in the White Christmas mood prevailed on the scene of gaiety and helped to make the Xmas Prom the usual outstanding event. The Collegiansw attempt some harmony. Seuia Elm' Play The SENIOR CLASS turned back the hands of time on April 27 to present an enthusiastic crowd a picture of life in the gay and glamorous era of flagpole sitting, goldfish eating and motorcycle racingfthe year 1928. The three-act comedy Turn Back The Clockl' had as the basis of its plot the love triangle involving Evie Palmer, Charlie Hill and Johnnie Stone. Charlie is thoroughly unpredictable and Johnnie is a budding salesman. Evie happens to be a pulpit preach- ing, idealistically minded young high school graduate. The plot thickens with the addition of Larry Palmer, typical college lad of the era, into the scene. He has his love problems, too, trying to decide between Maybelle and Irene. Everything turns out for the best. as usual, and everyone enjoyed the production. Friday evening, February 8. was Dan Cupidls day in MHS. The sweethearts of the hallowed halls congregated in the Junior High gymnasium following the MHS-Boys Town game to enjoy an evening of dancing and to elect tho King and Queen of MHS Sweethearts.
