Ki 0 v4Wlll'!l' We, the seniors of 1952, are indeed proud to present our Bison Award to CAROLYN KENNEDY for her outstanding scholarship and excellent lead- ership in school affairs. Carolyn has been an outstanding member of Red Peppers for three years, serving her senior year as Merit Keeper. Efficient and faithful ex- ecution of her duties was a large factor in her election to this post and to a place on the Annual Staff. Other honors have been won in County Government where she served as County Clerk. It is, however, in the field of scholarship that Carolyn excels. A consistent high average has won three scholarship awards for her and ranks her at the top among this year's graduates. The sen- iors find deep satisfaction in having been able to extend this honor to one of MHS7s outstanding students. 'i We, the seniors of 1952, are indeed pleased to present this yearis Bison Award to DON LIE- BERTH in recognition of his outstanding leader- ship and contributions to school betterment. Donis primary interest has been in the field of athletics, where he has excelled in football, basket- ball and track. The diminutive senior won his mono- gram as a junior in the cage sport and has been in M Club the past year. Donis excellent personal traits were rocognized by his selection as Man of the Year during the football season. His other active interests include participation on the Bison Corral committee, of which he has been a member during his high school days. Don served as a County Commissioner in the County Government program and on the Annual Staff during his senior year. TS

,ftcfiv Ziff One of the largest and most important pieces we found to include in our picture of MHS school days is the one which includes the many activities engaged in hy the citizens of MHS. The activities are widely varied and a necessity for the person who is building a complete picture of his high school days. Activities are the salt of high school life hut as one educator once said, 'gshould not hecome the food. They are. however, a prime necessity for they help to maintain the high prestige HHS enjoys among Cornhusker prep schools. Participation in MHS activities marks the individual as a leader and a credit to his Red and White colors. A person who is proud of the NM he represents is glad to join in group activities to improve even further the fame and honor won hy previous generations of MHS graduates. The seniors of 552 have made activity participation a must - may the graduates of future years let activities reign on its present throne of success and respect.
