Spanish Students Enrich 4,5 Graders fr Priscilla Maureen ldolina Sandra Chavez Gasparola Mares Miller A NEW ASPECT ot learning evolved in the Foreign Language Department. lt provided an opportunity for the more advanced language students to teach in the elementary schools. Other regulars in the program included tapes, movies, and records. A great deal ot the history ot the countries and culture ot the people provided interesting topics for the students. Lydia Vlachos headed the department that welcomed an array of new teachers. ldolina Mares, a native of Arizona, and x Ronald Parra handled Spanish classes. Texas's loss and MHS's gain was Angela Nelson who instructed Latin, while Maureen Gasparola taught French. Also ioining the department was Elizabeth Zeiner, who has spent most ot her life in Germany.
