'40, Alumni presi- dent. gave a salute from all past McCallie boys. Larry McNeill and Albert McGregor, the student body presidents for the two terms, gave the invoca- tion and benediction. Friday evening at the Chattanooga Chamber ol Commerce dinner at the Read House Dr. Colgate Darden. President of the University of Virginia, spoke. folloixing remarks by Miss Mary Hannah Tucker, Dr. Herbert Barks. and Dr. Spencer Mc- Callie. heads ol Chattanoogais three prep schools. Nlr. Mark K. Wlilson. Jr.. past-president of the Chamber and a McCallie trustee, presided. Alumni Day Saturday was featured by a golf tournament for :Xlumni and bridge for their wives with lunch at Fairyland, and in the late afternoon a boat ride on Chickainauga Lake and barbecue sup- per at the Hamilton Bank Lodge.
