Brown, senior trustee of the school, presided at the dedieatory ex- ercises. Selections by the Clee Club, a salute from the lVlid-South Association by Colonel C. R. Endsley of T.M.l., and the dedication of the Campbell lVle- morial Tower by Dr. J. P. lVlCCallie preceded the address by Dr. Francis P. Gaines, president of Washington and Lee University, a McCallie patron and one of the Southis great orators. Following his eloquent address Dr. James L. Fowle, pastor ofthe First Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga, gave the dedicatory prayer. More than eight hundred were guests of the school at the bullet slipper held in Davenport Memorial Gymnasium.
