He was elected boarding student repre- sentative on the Senate in 1945 and was made second lieutenant of Oom- pany Paul Bennett, son of Dr. and Mrs. -I A. Bennett of Algoma, TVest Vir- ginia, was voted secretary of the the Senate as a sophomore and Senior class this year. Paul has been outstanding in several ways since he came to McCallie two years ago. I-Ie won a varsity letter in football in 1941 and was on the varsity soccer team. Saturday afternoon the Class Day Exercises were held in the ambllis theater at 2:30 pm. There the two ton honor students, Thomas Coleman Turner and Frank Watson Ward, III, Nbolfe to the students and friends. These exereises were followed by a rromal Battalion Parade on Alumni Field at 4.30. Auditorium. The Clifford Ikarker Grayson Memorial Awami was presented by Dr, James Park Me- Callie and the John Campbell Award Dr. S. J McCallie. The Come encement speaker was Maj.-Gen.
