HISTORY AND G0 VERNMEN T Our history courses are planned in such a way as to make us familiar with the important people and events which formed the history of the world and our country. Our history courses are taught by Miss Van Wagner and Mr. Schmidt who attempt to make the courses more interesting and enjoy- able to those who are required to take them. . 5 3 S is-5' .t,,: . N W Miss Josephine Van Wagner B. A., Bowling Green State University and Col- lege of Wooster, M. A., University of Toledo. The American Government course is a required subject for all seniors, taught by Mr. Prentiss. During the year students learn about local, state, and federal government, and also problems which face us as citizens. At the end of the year a Youth and Government Day was held, in which American Government students were able to participate in the Maumee Government. Mr. Donald C. Prentiss B. Mr. Cook and Mr. Jordan teach the basic fundamentals of math along with some of the more advanced operations necessary for engineering and other technical professions. The study of mathematics sharpens one's reasoning powers and enables one to act with positive and absolute assurance.
