I . -l - W F0ll'l'BALL BA QUET On December 5 the boys who played football were honored at the Annual Maumee Hugh School Football Banquet Instead of having a speaker though the boys and staff decided to put on their own program Mr Schmidt presided as MC Mr Conrad gave a short talk and then the awards were guven out Dave McKnight and Duck Burdo receuved trophies for being co captains and Duck receuved the trophy for being the most valuable lineman wuth Tom Cowdy receiving the most valuable back trophy Jerry Buggs and Chuck Rogers re ceuved, respectively, the most loyal player and most valuable substitute trophies. Two experiments 'were tried this year by the squad. First they elected co-captains in the spring of 1952 and secondly the team went to football camp at Bellaire Michigan the last two weeks in August.
