SEHIUH CLHSS Down As the school life of the senior class of 1950 draws toa close, we find our memory books be- coming rapidly filled with vivid recollections of our four years at Maumee High. Upon entering the ninth grade, we found our- selves together for the first time. Coming from FO1't Miami, Union, and St, J'05eph'5 grade schools, some of us with two years at M. H. S. already behind us, we found ourselves entering into many activities and preparing for our life's work by choosing our own courses. Our sophomore year found our interests turning more and more toward athletics. Yes, r and we even settled down to do a little studying. Under the leadership of Rollie Catley, class president, and the guidance of Miss Marguerite McManus, we started the many tasks which con- front a struggling junior. An outstanding event of this year was the Junior Carnival. We were espically proud of the cast of the talent show. The theme of our junior-senior dinner-dance, Musicland , was carried out under a reddened sky and sparkling notes. This is one of our mem- ories we will always cherish. In the first week of school last fall we elec- ted Roy Sautter to lead us through our last year. He was aided by Pat Bauerschmidt, vice president, Sharon Strong secretary, and Ed Held treasurer. Thinking over our senior year a number of things stand out: the issuing of privilege cards, being the honored guests at the dinner- dance, and our own senior prom. Going out into the world, we leave behind us an amazing number of con- tributions to M. H. S. in art, music, dramatics, journalism and many other activities in which our members excelled. The M. H. S. gridiron, cage, track, and baseball diamond will miss our athletes, also. Now we come to the fork in the road with our school years behind us and our journey into life be- fore us. It is up to us to choose which road we will follow. No matter how far we maydrift apart no one can take the wonderful memories of each other and the training we have received at Maumee High. -With this thought in mind we leave Maumee High wish- ing the best of luck to the rest of you. By Betty Michael CLASS OFFICERS: Pat Bauerschmidt, vice presi- dentg Sharon Strong, secretaryg Ed Held, treasurer Roy Sautter, president. Advisor: Miss McManus
