E in ugffriging jf He President, William Moor, Vice-President, Bob Gwin, Treasurer, Larry Hubbell, Secretary, Jackie Stewart Cfada off 94 9 Well, this year, the '49ers are leaving us, but as they march down the aisle on graduation day in their maroon and white caps and gowns, it will be hard to forget all that this years' seniors have left behind them. They contributed to all branches of Maumee's activi- ties. They excelled in athletics, being well represented on both the football and the basketball teams. When it came to track and baseball, the seniors again led the way. There were energetic senior workers on both of the school's publications. They did well in the music line, too, even as far as to sing for their own commence- ment. The Dramatics Club held a large number of seniors both in the acting and in the production jobs. In order to bring some money into their sagging trea- sury, the class of '49 sponsored an after-game dance and a Donkey Basketball game which was a howling success. A few class parties were given in the gym where the class got together and square danced, ate, played cards, and got to know each other much better. To wind up the year they gave a Senior Prom which will, in the future, be hard to beat. The seniors also proved to themselves and to the whole school that they could manage themselves on their own as well as any college student. They were given privilege cards which entitled them to miss all study halls provided they attend their regular classes. This f ' sl lg S I2 A if a was certainly a creditable gift to the school and to the . Senior classes to come. t' X - All these things were able to be accomplished by the Class of I949 only by the patience and careful guidance of the administration, the faculty, and the senior faculty advisor, Mrs. Mohr. Good work, Seniors! Here's to you! We wish you the best of luck in taking your place in the modern world, and in the years to come we'll never forget the 49ers. Mrs. Jean Mohr, Class advisor
