X 4 You're Marvelous Pride, joys Of Mauldin Shine Bright Anticipation grew while minds racked with bewilderment over who would be the future Homecoming Queen. A hushed silence filled the sta- dium as the crowd awaited the moment of truth. K'And now, the 1985 Home- coming Queen . . . Dina Russell. For Dina this was a dream come true. I heard many rumors about who would win, so I wasn't sure what was going to happen, but when they announced my name, I felt very honored and proud to be a student at Mauldin High, said High on a pedestal, Dina Russe1l's all smiles when she and her escort, Mr. King, proudly take their places during the Homecoming half-time. iPhoto by Lonny LaPlantJ Dina. The Queens court consisted of Sonji Smith who was first runner up, spon- soring Sammy Dixong second runner- up, Fiona Morton sponsoring Andy Lydag Kim Hodge, third runner up, sponsoring Mark Seayg fourth runner- up was Michelle Robinson sponsoring Ricky Smith.
