MADE NOT BORN The Mason County FHA Chapter has been busy this year with their many activities and community functions. Each chapter needs money to operate successfully. To start their year off, they held many money making projects which included a tractor pull at the Minerva School which involved many parents, faculty, and members of the student body. Candy and bake sales plus their annual candy bar sale in- creased the budget to handle the social events. Dads loved Daddy Date night, and the dances-Halloween, Christmas, and Valentines, proved to be fun and successful. Mrs. Ann Porter, the chapter advisor, keeps this chap- ter strong with her guidance and support. This year she ad- vised the State President and Regional 1st V.P. All officers are important as are the Freshman Junior Officers. The community depends on the FHA to hold such State FHA President -Diane Roberson. drives as March of Dimes, Arthritis, and Heart Fund. All girls enjoyed writing Santa letters for local children. The Gover- nor’s visit allowed several girls to participate as aides. There was a dinner for the Needy Kids, and once again, the FHA sent workers. This year the Mason County Chapter was an Honor Roll chapter which is an honor that comes from hard work. This year Diane Roberson was elected State FHA Presi- dent which kept her busy with her many duties. Karen Tubbesing was also busy as Regional 1st Vice President. To end the year, a Mother-Daughter Banquet is held to give awards of achievement and an installation service takes place for incoming offices plus a get together for mothers and their daughters.
