OuA Dttbbdfo DaxUmS The Royal girls were well on their way to an eight- five season in this game against Augusta. In this, their first game of the 1974-75 season, our ladies of the court gave the sur- prised Augusta squad a very sound trouncing winning quite handily. Susan Hick- erson got the tip, and it was all ours from then on, thanks to fancy ball han- dling as shown here by Barb Landers. Coach Mahan nearly lost her scalp as she gave her all in a fine job of coaching, and the winning Royals went to the dressing room tired but happy. 16

FM The Mason County FHA Chapter was busy all year with their many activities and community functions. To start the year, they held many money making projects including a tractor pull, candy and bake sales, and the annual candy bar sale. These projects increased the budget to handle the social events. Dads loved Daddy Date Night, and the dances - Hallow- een, Christmas and Valentines - proved to be fun and suc- cessful. Mrs. Ann Porter, the chapter advisor, kept the chap- ter strong with her guidance and support. This year she also advised the Regional President and, the Regional Reporter. The community depends on the FHA to hold such drives as the March of Dimes, Arthritis Fund, and the Heart Fund. All girls enjoyed writing Santa letters to local children. The Governor's visit allowed several girls to participate as aides. A dinner for the Needy Kids was given with the help of several of our members. Senior FHA Officers This year, the Mason County chapter was an Honor Roll chapter which is quite an honor. Finally, the Mother-Daugh- ter banquet closed the year with awards of achievement and installation of incoming officers. 18 Mason County FHA Chapter members
