PRESIDENT RALPH W. LLOYD Ralph Waldo Lloyd, B.A., B.D., D.D., LL.D., has been president of Maryvllle College for seventeen years, during which he has worked unceasingly that our col- lege may hold a place of prominence among other colleges and universities. - e has been recognized as a successful and well-known speaker, both in the United States and abroad. This past year he was one of five ap- pointed by the Presbyterian Church in the U. S A. to make a survey of the Church ' s work in China, and to make rec- ommendations for future work. hHe left on August twenty-first, returning on Janu- ary twenty-fourth, to resume his duties as president. Dr. Lloyd was graduated from Mary- ville College in 1915, received his Bache- lor of Divinity from McCormick Seminary in 1924, the title of Doctor of Divinity from his Alma Mater in 1929, and hHonor- ary LL.D. from Centre College in 1940.
