This subtle distinction, alone, tells of Maryville ' s affectionate appreciation of her years of faithful, devoted service. Friendliness, sincerity, sympathy, integ- rity of purpose — these, and many more, are attributes of our Dean of Women. Until the pressure of other activities and their demand upon his time made it nec- essary for him to resign, Dr. Fields held the office of Dean of Men.
