Book sale beckons students from summertime pursuits The sale of books in the fall, like construction at 59th and Indian School, always si nals the end of summer andgthe return to school for another year. Great crowds of students, first the seniors and then the other classes, swarm onto campus Tammy McChesney and friend make a wise investment on Sopho- more book buying day lFar Upper Leftl. Freshman john Burt goes through the ritual of getting his ID picture taken lFar Lower Leftl, books for his classes tBelowJ, and checked out lLeftJ. This hall was always full of students waiting for their turn with the checkers lLower Mid- dlel. to form long lines waitin to gain entrance into the halls where they bought books and yearbooks and recieved iden- tification cards and locker as- signments. After making their purchases, students stored their new pos- sessions in their newly-as- signed lockers and took off for the lakes to tr to capture as much of the fading summer as possible, then they re- turned on the Tuesday after Labor Day to endure the wait until the next summer vaca- tion which will also be ended by the traditional book sale. ,.4P- ' ---QVHK..
