Absent: Mr. Milton Rogers, Trustee. The Board of Education for the Marysville School District has done many things to uphold the status and to maintain the operation of the schools in our district. The building additions which were nearing completion in 1969 were put into use in September of this year. This program provided for more room for the elementary and intermediate schools. This was the first year that one-semester courses were implemented at MHS. The faculty devised a plan whereby the students of MHS enrolled at the beginning of each semester for their classes. One credit is given per class hour for each semester. Many different classes were offered this year than had ever been before at MHS. This plan proved to be very successful because it offers the student much more freedom to take classes he wants. As always, the Board of Education had the interests of the students foremost in their minds as they attempted to improve the quality of education.
