P Q Q DEDICATICD ii, THE ti1,Ass of nineteen hundred and forty-six, do hereliy dedicate this edi- tiuii uf the RIGHT :XNGLE to our principal, l':iul ID. Cuuper. liutli Mr. Copper and this graduation class caine to Blarylancl Park Iligh Schmil as fresh- men, we as freshmen in an acacleinic sense. and he as a freshman in the uttice of principal. The intluence uf his guidance during the past four years will lie a lasting asset to every niem- her of this class. Endowed with the virtues uf ability, understanding, fairness, and patience, he has won the respect and trust of each and every une of us. Although our graduating class of nineteen forty-six regretfully says goodbye. the graduat- ing classes yet to follow likewise will know Mr. tfwmper as a friend and principal. UZEWOZ N THE YEARS TO COME, when we will look back on our four years at Maryland Park High School, the school will be more than just a build- ing. It will be a series of experiences which will always be vivid memories to us. Some of these memories are realities and will con- tinue to stand out in our minds more than will others. In our freshman year, while we were very inexperienced and continuousiy getting lost in the halls, there are a number of experiences which are vivid memories- The experience which is outstanding was Freshman Night when our parents visited the school in order to meet our teachers and principal for the first time. All of us were afraid that the teachers would give our parents a bad report on us, but everything turned out all right since it was just a social gathering. We returned to school the following fall with confidence and dignity for we were now sophmores. Our most vivid memory of that year was the Biology class. For the first time, we were using a microscope and cutting bugs. We were upperclassmen: we were juniors!! Most of our efforts that year went into our specialized courses. However, we tried our dramatical abilities in the One Act Play Contest. The seniors won the contestg but we ran a close second and in our minds, won the contest. Our ambition was attained l I We were seniors!! There were so many vivid memories of this year that one could not be decided upon as outstanding. Therefore, we will give a review of all of them in the following pages. So, let's go!! Turn the page, and begin the review of our senior year.
