A truly beneficial club, it gives the members real practice and good preparation for a job in the aviation industry. COOK For a boys' club that is different, this one is really it. The members learn how to set a table correctly, cook meals, and the very mainly art of cleaning up afterwards. Then join the MPHS Girl Scouts! This group of girls faithfully learn inter- esting. worthwhile facts and enjoy a full program of really exciting activities. IRA NIEASELL Another name for this club might be Manners for Malesn because it teaches boys how to dress and act upon every occasion as well as how to assume responsi- bilities both social and business. Questions of conduct are brought up at the meetings and discussed by the members. A social program is planned to give the boys an op- portunity to put what they have learned into practice, The high point of this program is usually a dance spon- sored by the club and attended by only the members and their guests.

One of the outstanding achievements was the school Hold paper drive conducted by each homeroom. A prize was awarded to the room with the highest average. The club of 1941 boasts twenty- one members and has produced several fine plays. NIARGARET DODDER The Maryland Park Home Ec Club took State honors again in 194-1. This is the third year MPHS has made the Slate Honor Roll for Home Ec Clubs. The publication of the Home EC Echoes. miIneO- graphed news-letter of the group, was continued with more and bettern news. recipes, prattle, and hints on beauticullure. A social program, which iIIcluded a benefit for the school, supplemented tlIe regular schedule of demonstrations, Ineetings, and parties. 1941 GIRLS GLEE CLUB Adviser ,. .,.,. . ..... MRs. BEIILAH WALL From the Music Department can be heard the melodious blending of the voices of the Girls Glee Club. This group, as in the years past, has provided entertaining interludes for many of the social func- tions at MPHS in 1941. These included the Minstrel Show, Talent Assembly, and the community Safety Program. These girls witlI picked voices meet for regular practices and place special emphasis on Christmas and Commencement music. Ask the Clee Club to sing a number or two is a familiar and welcome sound ai Maryland Park.
