The California Scholarship Federation is an organization which fosters high standards of scholarship, service and citizenship. Acceptance into the club is based on grade point average. To qualify for membership, students must maintain a ten-point average on its point system. The C.S.F. motto is Scholarship for Service. HOME ECONOMICS CLUB The Home Ec Club has grown to be one of the largest clubs on campus this year. Under the direction of Annette Ciketic, the club has held fund raisers, toy and food drives for the needy, the purchase of Christmas trees for the poor, and pot- luck luncheons. In its second year at Mary Star, you can see it has continued and successfully met its purpose to provide ser- vice and hospitality to the school and the San Pedro community. NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY The National Honor Society is an organization which seeks the well-rounded student. Selection for the National Honor Society is based not only on grade point average, but also on the student ' s service to the school and community, as well as his or her participation in extracurricular activities. As a club, N.H.S. provides service to the school and helps prepare for the Academic Awards Banquet which annually recognizes outstanding students.
