The 1983-84 edition of girls ' Varsity Basketball proved to be a surprising success. When it was all over, the Stars rolled up an impressive 20-5 record, captured the Camino Real League Cham- pionship, and advanced to the second round of C.I.F. Playoffs where they fell to number one seeded San Gabriel High School. The Seniors, Melanie Jones, Sylvia Bauer, Lisa Di Leva, Debbie Rosso, and Jeanette Marinovich along with Juniors Christine Bogdonovich and Janet Trainotti proved to be the core of the team. The effort of 1983-84 can truly be described as a " team " effort.
