1. The 1981 Reach-out Retreat led by such distinguished personalities as Father Al, Father Terry, Sr. Borothea, Mr. Delrose. and Father Larry was an uplifting religious experience. 2. It included quiet reflection with close friends . . . 3. Alone . . . 4. Or as a group at Mass. 5. It allowed a developing of creative talents . . 6. And the Seniors even shared the benefit of their greater worldly ex- perience with the Juniors. But the retreat had a lighter side too . . . 7. Some of the Senior girls put on a little fashion show the first night, but that was silly. 8. And the Senior guys made a special trip over to the girl ' s room to be sure the models were told just how silly it was. 9. As at all out-of-the-way places there were certain dangers at St. An- drew ' s Priory, like wild desert animals that need to be tamed (wild desert animal on left) . . . 10. And the invigorating Trust Walk, where Retreaters delighted in being led blindly into cactus plants, ditches, poles, a stream, and the ever popular sprinkler system. U But on the whole, the 1981 Reach-Out Retreat helpled to bring Retreaters closer together and boost their relationship with God. while being a lot of fun. 53

Drill Team Extravaganza To help support themselves the Cheerleaders, Drill and Flag Teams put on a Drill Team Extravaganza . All the pep squads performed routines to lyrics starting in the 50 ' s with ' Rock Around the Clock ' , up to the 80 ' s with ' Superfreak ' . 1. Members of Drill and Flag teams dance to American Bandstand. 2. J.V. Cheerleaders, Cathy Fiamengo, acts the part of ' Sandra Dee ' to the tune Summer Lovin. 3. Varsity and J.V. cheerleaders display their talents as the next Broadway chorus girls. But who ' s legs are who ' s? 4. Melissa Rados, Kristy Peters, and Holly Hulett, show their stuff to Borrowed Time by Styx. 54
