Juniors Journey on Just one step away from graduating, the class of ' 83 has acheived its third year of high school. With the help of our class moderators. Mr. Cottone and Mr. O ' Keefe. we have managed to plow our way through required classes such as Algebra, Biology, Spanish, and the dreaded P.E. We have now advanced into more extensive fields of study: Algebra II. American Literature, and U.S. History. Encouraged by our school counselor, Ms. Rosemary Perry, individuals have developed a high school program to correspond with their future fields of study. Specializ- ed courses other than the stable requirements include clothing, drafting, art, and yearbook. For the more inten- sified student. Math Analysis, Physics, and Chemistry were offered. Engaging in spirit filled activities. Juniors have managed to budget their time, studies, and pressure to get a high grade point average. Mary Star is considered a college preparatory school and for upperclassmen, the em- phasis is on higher education and expansion into diver- sified fields of career opportunities. Come on now, I thought they came from the stork! Boy, wouldn ' t mom be mad if she saw me cutting the drapes for clothing class. Don ' t look at your fingers! No, really, I am your American Lit. teacher! 24
