Torres, T. Walther, W. Weeks. California Scholarship Federation is an organization which tries to achieve finanical aid for highly educated students through scholarships. Acceptance into the club is bas- ed on grade point average. For membership students must maintain a ten point record each semester. There activities consisted of tutoring and touring many of the various col- lege campuses. NHS Stresses Over All Achievement National Honor Society is a program which is deceaded to the devotion of a student ' s education. A student selection for this club is based on grade point average, service to the school and com- munity, and participation in extracur- ricular activities. J.V. ' s of the Eighties The Junior Varsity Cheerleading Squad began 1981-1982 with joy and enthusiasm. They broke an all-time high record with seven Sophomores cheering at Junior Varsity sport events. In December the eight cheerleaders par- ticipated in the San Pedro Christmas Parade in which they placed 2nd in the cheering competi- tion. Throughout the year the squad sup- ported and cheered for all boys and girls athletic events. The newly elected Associated Student Body Council began the year with fresh ideas and perspectives. The A.S.B. Coun- cil, directed by Moderator Patrick Markey, planned for better leadership in various ac- tivities. Throughout the year, the council promoted such ma- jor activities as homecoming Week.
