With the early season injury to standout Mark Skorlich the pitching chores fell upon the shoulders of Nick Despal and Joe Cortez. Sammy Galletti gives the stars hustle and desire in the outfield. Jewgy Ponce de Leon has provided the Stars with outstanding infield play the past two years. Here Jewgy prove once and for all that he has not been stricken with the dreaded white man ' s disease. Breaking up the double play is a trademark of the Stars. 119
