any uQ1f1,5LL1fLl1fLlfe The setting ol' our play is a rambling eolonial building set on a terraee trinnnecl with fragrant pines and pear trees in bloom, But to us, Mary Institute is more than forty aeres olf loveliness. The library is not merely a room containing' a, well-organized eolleetion of booksg it is the scene ot our liveliest elass meetings. Our class- rooms serve not only for mliseussions of lessons but for the formation of lasting irienflships between elassmates anal teachers as well. The poplar trees lining the high- way are important to us, not solely because we plantefl them, but because they are the symbol of our blossoming forth into maturity. The amphitheater brings tears to our eyes, not beeause ot its beauty, but beeause of the emotions we experienced at the eoronation of the May Queen. The Hag waving above our heads is for us some- thing beyoncl convention 5 it is the constant reminder of the cluty we must fulfill lor our eountry. This expresses in some measure what this dramatic setting means to us.
