MARTIN vs. COLD SPRINGS The high-spirited Martin Warriors recorded their first shut- out of the season by routing Cold Springs 45-0. On the third play of the game Larry Key connected with David Key on a 55 yard scoring play and ran the two point conversion to give Martin an 8-0 lead. On its next possession Danny Henderson raced 49 yards to the end zone. The next time Martin touched the ball, Tim Alexander scored on a '7 yard run. Rounding out the scores for Martin were: David Key from 1 yard out with Mike Mason, making the two-point conversiong Tim Alexander in the third period with David Key running the two-point conversion and Jimmy Williams scoring the final touchdown on a blocked punt with Mike Mason adding the two-point conversion. The final score was MARTIN 45, COLD SPRINGS 0. MAR TIN Vs. LYNN The Warriors made it 3 in a row by defeating powerful Lynn 30-8. The victory upped Martin's record to 5-3. David Key set up Martin's first score in the opening quarter with a 43 yard scamper to the Lynn 15 yard line and Tim Alexander carried it in from there. Danny Henderson ran the two-point conversion. Gary Key then scored on a 40 yard run and Larry Key passed to Mike Mason for the two-point conversion to give Martin a 16-0 halftime lead. Lynn roared back at the onset of the third quarter for its 8 points. It was then that David Key set his sights on the end zone scoring on a 20 yard run late in the third quarter and a 50 yard scoring pass from Larry Key in the final quarter. Danny Henderson ran the two- point conversion to end the scoring with the final score 30-8 .

MAR TIN Vs. WE9 T JEFFERSON Turnovers and an inspired pack of West Jefferson Tigers caused the Martin Warriors to stumble to their third loss of the season, 16-8. Only a seven yard run on the final play of the game by David Key prevented the mistake-prone Warri- ors from being shutout. Key also ran the two-point conversion to account for Martin's points. After a scoreless first quarter, West Jefferson drove 40 yards in five plays to take an 8-0 lead with just 28 seconds left in the half. Following intermission, Martin fumbled away two scoring opportunities in the third quarter and West Jefferson drove '78 yards following the sec- ond costly Warrior turnover for its winning touchdown with 8:47 left in the game. The drive took 12 plays. The loss ended a two-game winning streak for Martin. MAR TIN Vs. MEEK Homecoming 1975 was against Meek and Martin cele- brated it by whipping the Tigers 34-6. Larry Key directed the Warriors on an 80 yard scoring march with David Key scoring on a 5 yard run with 11:43 left in the 2nd period. Mike Mason ran the 2-point conversion to put Martin on top 8-0. Three minutes later Steve Henderson crashed in from the 5 and Danny Henderson ran the 2- point conversion to put the Warri- ors on top at halftime 16-0 . During the 3rd quarter Gary Key scored on a 77 yard run and Tim Alexander returned a Meek punt 40 yards for a touchdown to give the Warriors a 28-6 lead. Meek avoided a shutout by scoring in the final period, but David Key came right back with his second touchdown of the night to make the final score MARTIN 34 - MEEK 6. The victory evened Martin's record at 3-3 .

MAR TIN Vs. BERRY After a very impressive win over Lynn the preceding week, the high-flying Warriors made it 4 in a row with a victory over Berry. Martin, which had won six of its last 7 games went on top 8-0 midway through the 1st quarter, when David Key, the county's leading scorer scored from 6 yards out and Larry Key passed to Colin Kelley for the 2 point conversion. David Key struck pay dirt again in the second quarter scoring from 10 yards out. Danny Henderson ran the two point con- version. In the third quarter Larry Key passed 10 yards to Mike Mason for another touchdown. Later in the third quarter Key hit Tim Alexander on a 20 yard pass play and Tom Mor- row ran the two point conversion. Berry managed a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns as Martin went on to win 30-12 and began preparing for its final game of the season. 36 3 MAR TIN Vs. WEST B'HAM CHRISTIAN The Martin Warriors capped one of their best seasons eve with a stunning 69-0 victory over West Birmingham Chris- tian. Scoring for Martin were: Danny Henderson, Colin Kel- ley, Terry Perkins, Mike Mason, Tim Alexander, Gary Key and the county's leading scorer, David Key, who accountec for 3 touchdowns, a two-point conversion and a field goal, The Warriors ended their '7-3 season as the county's and the conference's highest scoring team, scoring an average oi 26.4 points per game and allowing the fewest points ol defense, giving up an average of 7.5 points per game. Coacl Craven was named Co-Coach of the year, and he, along witl Coach Smitherman proved to be excellent coaches and lec the Warriors to an outstanding football season.
