MAR TIN Vs. ADDISON The Martin Warriors opened their 1975 football season against the Bulldogs of Addison. A spirited Warrior defense held the opponents scoreless in the first half, however Addi- son managed a touchdown late in the third quarter and went ahead '7-0. Martin came storming back and began a drive late in the fourth quarter with Richard Mullen connecting with Mike Mason on a 57 yard pass play which took the ball down to the Addison 3 . However, the Warriors were unable to take it in from there. Addison then took over and ran the clock down ending a very exciting game with the final score 0-7 . MAR TIN Vs. CURRY The Curry Yellow Jackets overcame a savage Warrio onslaught as Curry stung the Warriors, 14-6, before som 1,600 fans at Martin. Martin started the game by kicking of to Curry and the Warriors quickly forced the Jackets to pun after three plays netted no gain. Martin's Danny Henderson returned the punt 19 yards to midfield, and on the first play from scrimmage, he darted 14 yards to the Curry 36. How- ever, on the next play, Curry recovered a Martin fumble, but again were forced'to punt. Five plays later Martin moved to a first down at the Curry 45. After a touchdown run by Henderson was nullified by a motion penalty at that point, David Key bolted his way to the 39. Warrior quarterback Richard Mullen then fired a strike to Colin Kelley to put Martin on top 6-0. Curry came back and tied the game 6- at intermission. Curry then came on strong to keep' the lea and Martin lost its second game of the season 6-14.

ing. F 1 tg . ,:i5EQ1,2L .. is rx MARTIN MAR TIN Vs. Vs. DAKMAN The Warriors finally found the range to the end zone in their 3rd game of the season against the Oakman Wildcats. The Warriors received the opening kickoff and returned to their own 28 where they began a '72 yard scoring march with Danny Henderson bursting into the end zone from 5 yards out. However, Martin fumbled at their own 37 late in the quarter and the Wildcats took 7 plays to knot the score 6-6. The Warriors then struck with lightning-like force in the 2nd quarter, with David Key scoring on a 15 yard run and Richard Mullen connecting with Mike Mason for another 15 yard touchdown to build a 22-6 halftime lead. Following inter- mission Danny scored on a 5 yard run, the PAT try was no good and the final score was Martin 28-Oakman 6 . PARRISH The onrushing Warriors knocked off arch rival Parrish with a 14-6 victory behind a timely offense and a determined defense. On its second possession of the game Martin marched 86 yards in 14 plays with Tim Alexander scoring on a 15 yard run to take a 6-0 lead. The Tornadoes then came storming back and scored, leaving the game tied 6-6 at half- time. Hard-knocking defense dominated most of the 3rd quarter before David Key capped an 83 yard drive with a 15 yard touchdown and Danny Henderson ran the 2-point con- version. Neither team scored in the 4th quarter leaving the final score MARTIN 14 - PARRISH 6. Coach Craven summed up the game by saying, . . . the difference seemed to be the boys really wanted this one.
