P E P C L U B The Scream Team Sign painting, spirit tags, and hand drills have all been part of the Pep Club scene this year. Mem- bers participated in a halftime show which was presented at the state football playoff games with David Douglas and Jesuit. Ninety-eight girls flipping the right cards at the right time were a must for the success of the card spellout stunts performed during basketball games. New outfits were chosen this year. Purple, short sleeved, A-line dresses trimmed with white braid were accessorized with gold M.H.S. emblems, white gloves, and tennis shoes. At the annual pizza party President Kris Stump crowned Karen Franssen, Miss Pep Club Football 1968. Pirette Susan Chrusoskie concentrates on the halftime routine. The spotlight shines on Pirate Golden Girl, Lynne Marcott. Lynne Marcott watches mascot Kathy Lillebo do a solo for Pirate fans. Santa's helper, lay Farr, cues the Mad Hattersf' PIRETTES T irl Bird Our Pirate majorettes have twirled through seven half-time shows this year. A performance in the rain and ankle-deep mud at Autzen Stadium was the climax of their football halftimes. Many of the routines were planned by Golden Girl, Lynne Marcott. Six-year-old Kathy Lillebo was our mascot twirler. DRILL TEAM Step In Time Under the leadership of president Toni Stokes,drill team performed marching and dance routines during football and basketball seasons. Newly selected outfits were mustard-colored dresses with a drop-waisted dirndle skirt. Purple trim completed the snappy look. A special routine was performed during basketball season to honor each of the four branches of the armed forces.
