DEANS OF COLLEGES Dr. J, Frank Bartlett College of Arts and Sciences Three colleges comprise the academic organ- ization of Marshall: College of Arts and Sciences, Teachers College, and Graduate School. The old- est of the three is Teachers College, with Arts and Sciences and Graduate following in that order. Each student is a member of one of the three colleges from the time he arrives on the campus. From point of service Dr. J. Frank Bartlett has been on the Marshall staff longest. As dean of the College of Arts and Sciences he has added courses, instructors, and curriculums until his college has equaled in numbers that of the older Teachers College, Dr. A. E. Harris, also a professor of political science and a part time classroom teacher of social studies, is the guiding hand for the Graduate School. Heavy use of the offerings by this college is mode by teachers in the field during the evening and Saturday classes. Teachers College, the largest in the State of West Virginia, is under the leadership of Dr. D. Banks Wilburn. This College has broadened its horizon under Dr. Wilburn and is today recognized by the National Education Association as a super- ior teacher education program. Dr. A. E.
