‘ YnOTHER MEMBER was added to the Big Green fighting team in the fall of 1942. Whispers spread over the campus as we realized that we had a new president, and many questions whirled around in our heads as to his qualifications for our team. To satisfy our curiosity we began searching for information first one place and then another. As our search drew to a close we came to the conclusion that we would gladly welcome Dr. Williams as the captain of our team with the following specifications: A. B. and A. M. degrees, University of Kentucky; Doctor of Education, Columbia University; Professor of Education, University of Kentucky; organizing principal of the school system for the Tennessee Valley Authority, Norris, Tennessee; National Consultant for the American Council on Education; member of the Executive Committee of the American Council on Education, and also oi the American Association of Teachers Colleges; and President of the West Virginia State College Presidents' Association.
