Volleyball team finally gets together during Sectional The 1983 volleyball season would not be classified by most as an exciting or important season. Team members couldn't quite get their act together until the end of the season during the regional play when theyupset Robinson and lost to returning champ Oblong by only 1 point. Pinning an exact reason for the lackluster season isn't easy. Some hold the viewpoint that if Marshall had a junior high program to help build the program there would be better volleyball teams. Other members felt that since this team was comprised of all seniors except for one member and had played together for four years they should have been almost unbeatable. After four years of play, each member should know what to expect from each other. Coach Laura Marshall will have her work cut out for her next year. With only one returning player she has the task of starting from scratch. Perhaps a fresh start will spark a whole new era. A.
