MARIA ISABEL AMARO Throughout high school, Maria enjoyed palling around with Shirley Joppie and Linda Bennett, while the rest of the time she enjoyed listening to music and dancing. Some of her hours were taken up by belonging to Secretarial Club and FHA. In the future, Maria hopes to travel to Texas, to work or join the Waves. RON L. BAIRD Bairdy's high-school memories come from his four years of par- ticipation in football and track, and his one year in basketball. Extra- curricular activities included Var- sity Club, three years, and Bible Club, two years. While not being occupied with school, Ron could be fotmd fishing, hunting, or palling with Russ Bates, John Barnes, Jon Rivers, or any of his many friends. After graduation Ron plans to fur- ther his education at Michigan Tech. LARRY A. BAKER Jug will undoubtedly hold as his most vivid memories those ac- quired through his participation in varsity football, three years, varsity basketball, two years, and varsity baseball, four years. In his senior year Larry was vice-president of the Varsity Club, and in his junior year the class elected him to be their president. After graduation Larry hopes to attend college, al- though he is uncertain as to his choice. SARAH MAY BARCLAY Sarah spent most of her off-school hours helping her parents with their riding stables, or else bowling, read- ing, or horseback riding. In school Sarah participated in band, four years, and GAA, one year. Either attending college or working are Sarah's future plans. WARELEN MAE BAILEY Warelen has been active in FHA for two years, Latin Club, two years, FNA, one year, Secretarial Club, one year, and Library' Club, one year. Ranking high among her memories will be active participa- tion on the senior play costume committee. She enjoys reading, cook- ing and taking part in all sports, besides being with her many friends, As for Ellie's future, she hopes to attend Kellogg Community College and enter the teaching profession. BILL BAKER Bill's athletic activities included football, two years, and track, one year. In high school he palled with Brent Cary, Darrel Cooper, and Lloyd Doolittle, and he spent his extra time fishing or hunting. His future plans are to join the Air Force. RODGER E. BALL Rodger's main extra-curricular activity in high school was FFA, to which he belonged for four years. Other activities included choir, two years, and French Club, one year. One of Rodger's hobbies is stamp and coin collecting, which occupied most of his free time. Joining the service is in store for Rog's future years. JOHN A. BARNES Barney will never forget his participation in football, four years, baseball, four years, and basketball, three years. Other extra-curricular activities for John were Interna- tional Relations Club, one year, and Varsity Club, two years. He made many friends in high school, includ- ing Denny Thomas, Jon Rivers, and Larry Baker. Upon graduation Bar- ney plans to attend college. 13

RUSS BATES, JR. Holding first place among Russ's memories are his four years of athletic accomplishments in football, basketball, and baseball. Louie was president of Bible Club for one year, president of Varsity' Club in his senior year, and besides being an active member of both clubs for three years, he belonged to French Club and Student Council for two years. His extra hours were spent fishing, hunting, or camping with his friends Ron Baird, John Larkin, and Jon Rivers. As for the future, Russ hopes to attend the University of Michigan to acquire a degree in SUZANNE BELLAIRS Sue participated in Secretarial Club, one year, Spanish Club, one yearg and GAA, two years, Through- out high school she could be seen with her friends Barbara Schnitzler, Marie' Rewa, Norma Duncan, and Dianne Piper. It is Sue's plan for the future to attend Ferris Insti- tute and become a secretary. psychiatry. DEAN BENDER For the most part, Dean could be seen throughout his high-school days palling with Bob Miller, Larry Wheeler, and Mike Serr. Dean took part in senior band for two years, and was on the senior play stage crew, and held many jobs outside of school. After graduation Dean plans to work, and later to attend college. WILLIAM BERRY Wild Bi1l's main activity in high school was FFA, of which he was a member for four years and served as chairman of a standing committee for two years. One could usually see Bill with Wayne Proudfit, Ed Weers, Frank Orns, or else working on cars. Linda could usually be seen with Shirley Joppie, Pennie Gilson, or Maria Amaro. Upon graduation Shorty hopes to attend commercial art school or else work. MARION L. BOUGHTON Marion participated in GAA for two years and Pep Club, one year. She could usually be seen enjoying one of her favorite pastimes, roller skating or horseback riding, with either Marilyn Hoenes, Carol Cook, Linda Wilson, Barb Boughton, or Linda Thompson. After school Marion plans on working. . f JAMES M. BLANCHARD Jim took part in orchestra, Pep Band, and Dance Band, all for three years. He also had parts in both the junior and senior plays, Jim's favor- ite hobbies are skin diving and play- ing billiards with any of his best friends.
