Scholarship is considered first, then the other three qualities. The emblem of the organization is the keystone and the flaming torch. The keystone is symbolic of strength and perfection, the flaming torch symbolizes the light of knowl- edge. ' f I -' ' ' 4 CLIFFORD HARWOOD Quiet Cliff took a special interest in electornics, science, and camping, and was an active 4 yr. Band mem- ber and the Senior crew leader of the Explorer Scouts. His most outstanding memories are of seeing Chicago Mu- seum of Science and lndustry, and camping on the Muskegon River. Mr. Spooner was Cliff's favorite teacher. Eating chicken, potatoes and gravy with the gang took up most of Cliff's spare time. After graduation Cliff plans to attend Kalamazoo College. JO ANN STEFFEY Active Jo Ann was the secretary of the Jr. Class, Pres. of the Latin Club, which she belonged to 2 yrs. She toot- ed her way thru 2 yrs. of Band and 'I yr. of Orch. SHARON KAY MILLER Popular Sharon entered whole- heartedly into almost every phase of high school life. In G.A.A. she served as secretary, vice-president, and presi- dent. She was in Latin Club, Student Council ivice-pres.l, Freshmen Class president, and National Honor Society. Red's biggest thrill was being Home- coming Co-Queen and D.A.R. girl. THOMAS CHISHOLM Bashful Tom enioyed his high school years with his pals Cliff Hanvood, Dan Covill, Art Harwood and Ron Hart. Tom was a member of the Science Club 'l yr. and the Spanish Club 3 yrs.
