Being a member of the Home Economics Club has proven to be both interesting and profitable, This year's members have leamed many things about being successful home makers. Among the activities presented by the Home Economics Club are their annual fashion show and chapel programs which are presented at different times during the school year, Sponsoring the organization is Mrs. Bob Simmons, Officers are: Jan Snell, Presidentg Pat Kelly, Vice Presidentg Marifred Hamm, Secretary-Treasurerg Linda Lane Cox, Reporter.

The purpose of the boy's club is to train rural boys in better methods of farming and to develop useful traits of leadership and citizen- ship. 1 if Y' Guiding the Boys' 4-H this year was President James Wed- dington. I I 5 skfwri' , Xia, 'X Q Susan Posey and Derrel Davis proudly accepted the plaque for the best Class C yearbook in the state. This marks the second year Mars Hill has received this honor. Learning to improve yearbooks and school papers was the purpose of the Alabama High School Press Workshop held in Tuscaloosa. These journalism workers, Derrel Davis, Rita Graben, Jan Snell, Marifred Hamm, Martha Moore, 0'Nea1Smelser, and Susan Posey, came home with many new ideas for better student publications,
