' X Division Executive OfHcer 3-M Co-Ordina tor Command Career Counselor tive Comprised of yeoman, personnelman, postal clerksrcommand career coun- selor and a religious program specialist, X Division strives to epitomize that WI spirit on board MARS by providing prompt, courteous personnel and administrative support for the en tire Martian crew. Being one of the smaller di visions on board the 4991 Attack Food Ship, our job functions contribute to the overall team effort to get the job done. The YNs lequipped with two Xerox 860 Word Processing Systems! main tain officer service records, com- mand files, type ofHcial correspondence for signature, type and distribute ships directives as well as reports monitoring. On the personnel side of the house, the PNs provide services ranging from transfer and receipt of person- nel, service record en tries, typing and submission of documentsaffecting pay and allowances and a myriad of other paperwork associated with personnel support. Our command career counselor, NC1 Les Fowler, has the important task of ensuring that all the Martian crewmembers career development needs are being met. Having to constantly keep abreast of all the changing programs available to the Martian crew from Guard III assignments to LDO! W0 Program applications, is a fulltime job in itself and NC1 Fowler is one of the best. In the religious vein, RP2 Keith Lowery works directly with the ships Chaplain to provide spiritual guidance for the Martian crew in addi- tion to the collateral duty of ships librarian. Last but surely not least are those fun -loving guys down in the mailroom, the PCs, without whose tireless efforts when mail is aboard, would adversely affect the high morale on board MARS. In addition to providing money order service, stamp sales and most of the other services provided by a civilian post office, the expeditious manner in which they receive, sort and distribute mail constantly ensures the Martians prompt delivery of that long awaited letter or package from home.
