In the f1fth grade Patty Blvexns from Moor1ng and Loran Whxte the mountam goat from Ravend1n Sprlngs lncreased our class by enter1ng school Mrs Lee Ramsey our fa1tht'ul fxfth grade teacher was proud of the fact that her pupxls were so warm hearted and qu1et to accept our new students Osle Johnson who entered from Moorlng ID the slxth grade turned out to be the bralns of our class for quxte some t1me Mrs Grace Thorne belng the teacher was always ready to pep us up when we began feelzng lazy Bean Poles Cupples and Sonny Freeman along w1th Troy Presson from Detro1t became members of the class 1n the seventh grade Troy brought w1th hxm h1s g1r11sh glggle and Northern accent Later that year Brlly Pr1tchet entered Mrs Opal Hoggard was Sponsor of the class It seems our new members 1n the elghth grade made qulte an 1mpress1on as they turned out to be our Pres1dent and Vxce Pres1dent through hxgh school They were Bxlly Don Stall1ngs and Toney Reynolds Mrs Hoggard was agam Sponsor of the class In the nmth grade everyone began to s1t back and take not1ce They all saxd boy what a gal does she brmg thmgs to l1fe and how does she talk so much? I guess you know we re speak1ng of Syb1l Rodgers from Moormg Loretta Thrash er entered from Wh1te Oak along w1th Syb1l Mrs Harr1s was class Sponsor The tr1p to Memphls seemed to be the ma1n event of the year and by luck we dldn leave any of our members at the zoo Sad Sophomore we were and boy' What a dog s hfe we led we dxdn t have any new class members that year No one notxced th1s however everyone was busy thmkmg of clothes dates and part1es About th1s t1me all the l1vely crowd sorta the gxrls were concerned In the early Sprmg the J'un1or and sophomore classes went to Keeners Cave spxte of the ram we all had fun Mrs Webb WHS 50ph0 more Sponsor Tom McLa1n from St Lou1s and Darrel Weaver from Oak Growe entered ln the eleventh grade The .Tumor play was the ma1n event of the year as lt IS to all .Tumors The .Tumor and Semor c1rcus banquet was equlped w1th everyth1ng,even a show Barker Tom McLa1n Troy Presson was a scream 1n h1s part of thm man In the Sen1or year Bernexce Vaughn entered from Tech Hxgh Th1s year proved one for these Z Sen1ors,about a month after school started we ordered our class r1ngs,on Sept Z We took our Sneak Day and sneaked away to the mounta1ns Then we began our Wmter term w1th an addztzon to our class a Lxttle Red head Helen Chr1sp from Valley V1ew entered The sen1ors had thexr Alumm Banquet Dec Z9 the1r negro mznstrel Jan 15 and the1r play m Apr1l Other outstandmg events we e the Jr Sr Banquet,graduat1on exerclses and the Sr tmp to New Orleans 53 'sm .D X 'ma . . . .
