CLASS Once there was a Senior class, the class of sixty-four; And now this class is ready to knock on future ' s door. Of members there are 63 some short, some tall, some bold; There are some quite bright and some quite sharp, But all of whom feel old. For now they’re ready, or are they now, to face what ' er may be; I feel that all still have the wish, The future they might see. So now, for fun, we’ll take a look and cast our prophecy Though only time and living life Can tell the truth, not we. The boy who’s always first For Anderson’s his name, Phillip’s bound to top all lists In sports he’ll do the same. There’s Janice, our cute stylish queen, A smile and thought for all, Paints and brushes are her joy I’m sure she’ll have a ball. And then our Mrs., Mary Ruth That Barlow boy had luck I’ll bet we’ll see her year’s from now Hauling children in that truck. Judy Bennett’s quite a girl What adventures she will see And I’ll predict without a quirk In the city she’ll soon be. Another Mrs., Lois Ann Now what’s in store for her I see her with that Beverage man all wrapped up in fur. Another Beverage in our class, good old Wayne, what fun! I see him selling ear muff’s now, In the Florida sun. Gloria and Wilbu r, two good friends, to everyone we know From the store with Boggs” on front Fame and wealth will flow. Then there ' s Jerry, our own shy guy A Buzzard he sure ain’t, He’ll be a movie star for sure And make the ladies faint. Of course, there is a lover boy Bill Clark fills the bill, He’s sure to try to live his life Kissing girls atop a hill. Our football queen, sweet Billie Counts, She’s made to play to role, She’ll marry some high royalty And reign o’er the great Rose Bowl. Carolyn Dean, so quiet and shy, But inside quite a gal; She ' ll make some fine upstanding lad for life, a wonderful pal. In every class there ' s bound to be some screwball there of course, Dwight Diller ' s sure to fill the bill As Analyist for a horse, Then there ' s one, our perfect girl in all she says and does To Martha Dilley we wish our luck When from Peaches she takes the fuzz. Nancy Evans, our big-eyed lass With class, so neat and clean She’ll be in all the picture books, of grace she ' ll be the queen. Glade Fertig, J.R. for short though small he’ll do a lot But also like old Edgar Poe he ' s doomed to be a sot. Then there’s Shirley Gallaher A whiz kid on a show she’ll be happy ever more, and win a lot of dough. Our little lady Cheryl McNeill With grace and ease she moves She ' s bound to be a real nice Mom And many hurts she ' ll soothe. Sharol Miller a real cute trick A model is her way She has her beauty and her charm She ' ll use it every day. Wally Mullens and his guitar A singing hillbilly he ' ll go far And we ' ll just bet that any day In the Grand Ole Opera he ' ll be starred. Old Jack Nelson with coal black hair Oh boy, that guy’s a flirt But in the future that shifty guy Selling corn” in a dirty shirt. Helen Pennington tall and slender Her figure you’ll adore But after marriage it ain’t so tough 36-58-34. Dorothy Price is quite a girl In fact she seems to bubble With fun and joke and quite a way she’ll soon have all bent double. Carmen Sharp has his special joy It is with facts and FIGURES It is these traits we can say That makes him seem so eager. Vicki Sharp she has the voice She ' ll sing with Wally ' s guitar And together on the Opera” Show We know they ' ll go quite far. Randy Shields our silent type One doesn’t know that kind He’ll be a sneakin ' gangster man The end? Cement and brine! Good Bill Tolliver, what a guy He ' ll work quite hard for all For study, friends, and all that sort We hope your life’s a ball. Best on every thing you know Earlene Tyree, what a girl! Lucky man to get that one She’ll make life a whirl. Apple of the teachers ' eyes Mary VanReenan, Sweet and wise 26
